MEET SOLOMON
Hey there. I am the semi-famous, mostly successful, and highly talented young performer, Solomon Iem. Currently, I am based in Harrisonburg, VA while I finish getting my B.A. in Musical Theatre at James Madison University. Since the beginning of time, I have been obsessed with moving my body and performing in some way. It all started in a Louisiana Tae Kwan Doe studio when I became the youngest person there to get a black belt. After moving to Virginia, and a regional production of High School Musical on Stage!, I started my theatre career.
Seussical: the Musical was the first musical that I performed. Having tens of eyes on me while I sang “It’s Possible” gave me a rush that I have never had before. I knew that I would do anything to continue getting that rush.
Outside of performing, I am practicing a new instrument, sewing a costume, or watching Rupaul’s Drag Race. I have never been able to sit still, and I don’t expect to change anytime soon. My dream is to show the world what it means to be a quintuple threat: actor, dancer, singer, musician, and queer. People will tell you I am one of the hardest workers they have met, all while cracking plenty of jokes to lighten the mood.
